The Minister of Sport from Colombia (Coldeportes) Andres Botero had a meeting with the Director of the Colombian National Police Academy Colonel Gonzalo Ricardo Londono to talk about the cooperation and support of the organization of the 1st USIP World Police Games.

Minister Botero and Director Londono discussed about the support of the organization and the necessary facilities for the first World Police Games in Bogota. An important item of their discussion was also the building of a new shooting and training facility at the complex of the National Police Academy “General Francisco de Paula Santander”. The building of a new training facility at the end of this year will be a big achievement in de history of the National Police Academy.

This 1st USIP World Police Games will be held this year from the 26th of September till the 3th of October on location of the Colombian National Police Academy. There will be 5 main disciplines of police related sports like athletics, swimming, shooting, taekwondo and cycling. Every discipline of sports has several topics to compete. The Colombian organizers and the USIP are expecting police sport delegations from all parts of the world. Delegations can bring up to 69 persons to the 1st World Police Games in Bogota.
