Fanatic start of Judo championship
The judokas of the first PanAmerican championship showed a fanatic start of the championship. The Brazilian judokas had a majority in the championship but judokas from Ecuador showed there strength. The fights were tough but there was a lot of comradeship and FairPlay. This shows that police sport brings nations together and build bridges. Even after tough fights friendship and respect was shown by the athletes. Some of them had big expectations about their results but at the end they came to the conclusion that their opponent was a little better prepared for this championship.
The medals were donated to the judokas by the President of the UDEPP General Hugo Marcelo Rocha and USIP representatives Secretary General Sandro Dirckx and Lt.Col Khalid Alnajar, director of the USIP Presidential Office.
In the next days the Jiujutsu, Taekwondo and Karate disciplines will be held.
