Bogota, May 7, 2024

The Secretary-General of USIP, General Gonzalo Londoño, met with the Director of Police Education of the National Police of Colombia, Colonel Shirley Aguilar, and with the Director of the General Santander Police Academy, Colonel Carolina Rodriguez, with the purpose of organizing a museum for the First World Police Games of USIP – Bogotá 2015, held at this academy. The senior officers toured the facilities to locate the appropriate space to set up a stand with the necessary infographics to remind visitors of this historic event that filled not only USIP but also the National Police of all Colombians with pride. It is worth noting that more than 500 athletes from 30 countries participated in shooting, swimming, athletics, taekwondo, and cycling at this event. The winner of this inaugural version of the games was the National Police of Colombia.
It is worth noting that after these games, the second edition was held in Abu Dhabi – 2017, and the third edition in Milan – 2019.
As part of the USIP General Assembly to be held in Dubai – 2025, the host of the fourth World Police Games – USIP 2026, will be decided among the countries that have applied for this great honor.
