Lyon, may 2011 – A delegation from the USIP visited the headquarters of the Interpol in Lyon last May. USIP President Lieutenant General Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Vice President International Contacts and Relations Sandro Dirckx, and the staff of the Presidential Office from Kuwait met and discussed with the Interpol Secretary General Mr. Ronald K. Noble about possible future cooperation in relation to International Sports and Police work.
After the meeting USIP President LT.G Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Sabah gifted a soccer ball to Interpol Secretary General Mr. Ronald K. Noble as a symbol of possible future (sport) cooperation. During the meeting the USIP representatives gave a presentation about the new USIP strategy and mission to the responsible Directors of Interpol.
After this meeting USIP and Interpol gave their intentions to take further steps for future cooperation.
