The USIP Executive Committee extends its condolences to the National Police of Colombia and the family of Lieutenant Jorge Muñoz, who recently passed away in a confrontation with illegal armed groups while fulfilling his duty as commander of a special forces unit.
Lieutenant Muñoz was one of the medalists of the Colombian National Police in the first USIP World Police Games held in Bogotá in 2015, standing out as an exceptional athlete who brought honor to the institution.
All the men and women of the USIP Police force pray for him and are grateful for his example as a high-performance athlete, while also being an outstanding officer, serving as a role model.
